The TPL, in partnership with NRPA and the ULI, have just launched the 10-Minute Walk campaign to energize mayors and civic leaders to make universal access to high quality parks a top priority. This session will outline the campaign, provide park and recreation leaders with the tools to support their leadership in achieving the goal, develop effective communications and outreach efforts that build public support, and outline efforts in place to measure success in meeting campaign goals.

Learning Outcomes:
Explain the concept of the 10-minute walk campaign in the context of social equity, health, and conservation and the need for cities across the country to join the movement.
Create a 10-minute walk campaign plan for an urban area that energizes elected officials, partners, and the community to ensure that all people have access to a quality park within a 10-minute walk.
