This session will detail the results from a recent nationwide survey of elected and appointed officials’ views of local park and recreation services. This study, conducted by Penn State University and supported by NRPA, will identify how local officials prioritize funding for parks and recreation relative to other government services. Findings from this study will help park and recreation professionals and advocates better communicate the value of their services to their local decision makers.
