The Great Urban Parks Campaign is a collaborative initiative of NRPA and the American Planning Association to demonstrate how parks can become high-performance public spaces that produce environmental, economic and social benefits. NRPA has funded four projects in underserved communities in Atlanta, Baltimore, Denver and Pittsburgh. This session brings together four key project leaders who will provide an overview, update and lessons learned from their projects.

Learning Outcomes:
Participants will be able to describe the multiple benefits of green infrastructure stormwater management in parks to benefit underserved communities
Participants will relay their understanding of how green infrastructure stormwater management in parks can uplift and empower marginalized communities
Participants will describe at least two ways they can apply lessons learned from these projects to their own parks and their own communities.
