A foundation of the City of Kettering's mission is providing recreational opportunities to everyone regardless of financial status. This is achieved through a wide variety of large scope and individual assistance, thus supporting social equality within the community. These opportunities include large community festivals and events, monthly programs, financial assistance, food programs, summer camps and much more. Learn how to provide social equity in communities regardless of budget.

Learning Outcomes:
Participants will gain understanding as to how easy it is to implement social equality program within any size department regardless of the size of their budget, staff and scope of service.
Analysis of budget impact and how social equity programs affect community engagement through partnership, department morale, political awareness and program participation.
Participants will learn how to identify needs, engage staff, create a community resource inventory and begin planning their own social equity programs and opportunities.
